By creating an account or using wedbid.co.za you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
What WedBid is
WedBid is a marketplace where couples post listings for wedding services and vendors submit bids. We are not a party to any agreement between a couple and a vendor, and we do not provide wedding services ourselves.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. Vendor accounts require admin approval and valid supporting documents before bidding.
Listings and bids
Couples must post genuine requirements. Vendors may submit one bid per listing, and a maximum of five vendors may bid on a listing. A bid is an offer; accepting a bid unlocks contact details and messaging so the parties can contract directly. Pricing, delivery, refunds and cancellations are agreed between the couple and the vendor.
Vendor pricing
Vendor accounts are currently free. From 1 October 2026 vendor subscriptions will be charged at R199 per month (including VAT where applicable). We will notify vendors before billing begins, and you may cancel at any time before your next billing date.
Acceptable use
Do not post false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content, harass other users, scrape the platform, attempt to bypass the bidding process to avoid fees, or upload content you do not own the rights to. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
Content
You keep ownership of content you upload and grant WedBid a licence to display and promote it on the platform and in marketing of the platform.
Liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by South African law, WedBid is not liable for losses arising from dealings between couples and vendors, or from service interruptions. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated by email or on the site. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Questions: hello@wedbid.co.za
